College of Business

The College of Business (COB) was established in September 2005 at the Al Ain Campus and subsequently expanded to the Abu Dhabi Campus in 2008. Since its establishment, the College has grown significantly and become the second-largest college at Al Ain University (AAU). COB is committed to providing high-quality, industry-relevant business education that prepares students and professionals to become responsible leaders and contribute effectively to the development of organizations and society at both the local and international levels.

Currently, the College of Business offers a comprehensive portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. At the undergraduate level, COB offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in seven majors: Management, Accounting, Finance and Banking, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, and Business Analytics. These majors provide students with a strong foundation in business knowledge, analytical skills, innovation, leadership, and professional competencies.

At the postgraduate level, COB offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management at both the Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses. The MBA is designed for professionals seeking to enhance their managerial and leadership capabilities and offers three focus areas: Business Analytics, Project Management, and Healthcare Management. The program combines advanced business knowledge with practical applications to prepare graduates to assume greater managerial and strategic responsibilities within their organizations.

The College also offers the Master of Science in Business Data Analytics (MSc in Business Data Analytics), which meets the growing demand for professionals who can transform business data into meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making. The program equips students with advanced knowledge and skills in business analytics, data management, analytical tools, and contemporary technologies, enabling them to address complex business problems through evidence-based approaches.

At the doctoral level, COB offers the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), a prestigious doctoral program designed primarily for experienced professionals, senior executives, managers, and organizational leaders. The DBA integrates rigorous doctoral-level research with contemporary business and management practice, enabling participants to investigate complex organizational challenges and develop evidence-based solutions with practical relevance. The program emphasizes strategically important areas, including Artificial Intelligence in Business, Business Analytics, Advanced Strategic Management, and Advanced Economics of Strategy, while also developing participants' capabilities in research, innovation, leadership, and responsible management.

Through this diverse portfolio of BBA, MBA, MSc in Business Data Analytics, and DBA programs, the College of Business provides a comprehensive pathway for business education and professional development, from undergraduate study through advanced doctoral-level education. The College remains committed to academic excellence, innovation, research, sustainability, internationalization, and strong engagement with industry and the wider community, thereby contributing to the development of highly qualified business professionals and leaders in the UAE and beyond.

COB has obtained accreditation from the world's most coveted accreditation agency in business education, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools in teaching, scholarship, and community engagement worldwide. With the robust sponsorship of the AAU administration, COB is actively working to elevate its teaching, scholarly, and community engagement activities to the next level.
