About the Program

The DBA Program offers exciting opportunities to those who want to address the problems of practice through scientific and innovative approaches using contemporary research methodologies.  It aims to prepare participants to advance their business knowledge and develop leadership qualities to handle challenging business problems in a dynamic business environment. 

The program is structured into three key components:

  • Core Coursework: establishes a solid theoretical foundation.
  • Electives: allows for an in-depth exploration of a chosen area of interest.
  • Research Preparation and Dissertation: involves selecting a problem of practice, designing a research methodology, and completing a dissertation.

The dissertation is intended to conduct an in-depth investigation of the problem identified in the research plan and to propose strategic solutions grounded in scientific evidence.

Learning Outcomes

Upon graduation, students should be able to:

  • Appraise knowledge of Business, Management, Technology, and related fields essential for producing research that contributes to extending the boundaries of knowledge.
  • Develop statistical foundations and advanced empirical tools to develop a research strategy suitable for doctoral research addressing problems of practice.
  • Apply rigorous and theoretically appropriate research skills and recognize the limitations of specific research methods.
  • Demonstrate competency in developing research proposals grounded on existing theories to derive new ideas and solutions to address problems of practice.
  • Justify intellectual discourse with peers, academic community, and other stakeholders through coherent writing (Written). Communicate the content of research articles/trade articles and participate as an independent presenter or commentator (Oral).
  • Demonstrate contemporary standards of scholarship and make an original contribution to the body of knowledge and practice.
  • Comply with ethical principles, social responsibility, and sustainability during the research process.
  • Propose insightful and innovative solutions for problems of practice in various contexts with a high level of personal autonomy and accountability.
