AAU Delegation Attends Creativity and Innovation Open Day

A delegation from Al Ain University visited the Open Day of Creativity and Innovation organized by the Watani Al Emarat Foundation under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation. The event focused on "Exploring Artificial Intelligence: Innovations, Applications, and Future Prospects." The delegation consisted of Prof. Amer Qasem, Vice President of the University for the Abu Dhabi campus, Dr. Nuha Hamada, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, and a number of faculty members and students from the Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship course.

The Open Day of Creativity and Innovation embodied the Watani Al Emarat Foundation's commitment to addressing challenges related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic development in the United Arab Emirates. It delved into the transformative power of artificial intelligence, exploring its impact on the future of work.

Under the supervision of Dr. Wijdan Farhan and Dr. Mohamed Shreiri, the Al Ain University delegation participated in discussions about the opportunities and challenges that artificial intelligence presents to the workforce. Participants discovered strategies for effectively preparing students for an AI-driven future through education and understood the importance of early exposure to AI to enable students to excel in the evolving digital era. They also learned how to equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate and succeed. Students and faculty attended various lectures delivered by experts and industry representatives and participated in interactive workshops covering different aspects of AI and its impact on various fields, including transportation, education, and medicine.

The Open Day of Creativity and Innovation provided an excellent platform for Al Ain University participants to gain valuable insights and engage in important discussions about the future of artificial intelligence. The event also reaffirmed Al Ain University's commitment to fostering innovation and preparing its students for the challenges and opportunities in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
