Biography
Dr. Umar works as Director, BBA (Account, Finance and Banking, and MIS) and Assistant Professor at Al Ain University, United Arab Emirates. He is a versatile academic with over 15 years of teaching, administrative, and regulatory experience in tertiary programs. He graduated from Lincoln University, New Zealand with a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance. Recently, he completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Lincoln University, New Zealand. He has published refereed articles in leading international accounting and finance journals (ABDC - A* and ABS - 3). He is an Editorial board member and reviewer for international journals. He has also served as conference chair for multiple international conferences. Besides academia, he also worked as a Quality Assurance and Accreditation Expert for more than a decade at the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
