The College of Business Students Volunteer at IMA Abu Dhabi Chapter Tax Conference
Ten dedicated students from Al Ain University’s College of Business (Al Ain University Student Chapter) participated as volunteers at the Mastering the UAE Tax Maze: Adopting the Evolving UAE Tax Landscape conference, organized by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Abu Dhabi Chapter. The conference offered students an enriching opportunity to engage with industry professionals and gain hands-on experience in event coordination and management.
Guided by faculty member Dr. Riham Muqattash, the students took on various essential responsibilities that contributed to the smooth operation of the conference. They began by managing participant registration, distributing ID badges, and providing necessary registration materials. Throughout the event, the students assisted attendees with general inquiries and served as ushers, helping guide participants through the conference’s sessions. They also conducted interviews to capture participant insights and feedback, engaging with the professional community. Additionally, they documented vital moments by taking photos and recording video footage, enhancing their skills in event coverage.
In recognition of their efforts and commitment, the Al Ain University College of Business Student Chapter was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the IMA Abu Dhabi Chapter. Dr. Muqattash expressed pride in her students’ contributions, stating that this experience underscored the value of industry collaboration in preparing students for future careers.
