Al Ain University Celebrates the UAE's 53rd National Day
Al Ain University celebrated the UAE’s 53rd National Day at its Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses, launching a diverse range of heritage-inspired events and activities reflecting the Spirit of the Union.
The celebrations were attended by Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, President of the University; Prof. Amer Qasem, Vice President of the University (Abu Dhabi Campus); Prof. Ibtehal Abu Rezeq, Vice President for Development and Follow-Up and Dean of Student Affairs; and deans, deputy deans, faculty and staff members, university students, and visitors from outside the university.
The festivities included a variety of heritage performances, such as military band shows, yola performances, and traditional dances, which expressed the joy of the Emirati people on this special occasion and reflected their loyalty and gratitude to the wise leadership. The celebrations also featured a national parade, an art exhibition showcasing traditional paintings, falconry displays, camels, and horses. Additionally, there were stations for henna painting, traditional Emirati cuisine, and old-fashioned games that embodied the rich heritage and culture of the UAE.
It is worth noting that Al Ain University's National Day celebrations at both campuses witnessed a large turnout of visitors and participants who expressed their love, loyalty, and deep connection to the UAE.
