A Health Event Titled "Diabetes and Quality of Life" in Celebration of World Diabetes Day

The Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with Mediclinic Hospital (Al Ain Branch) and City Pharmacy, hosted an awareness event celebrating "World Diabetes Day" under the theme "Diabetes and Quality of Life." The event focused on raising awareness about diabetes, its prevention, and enhancing the quality of life for individuals managing the condition.

As part of the program, a health educator shared practical tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent diabetes. Additionally, Dr. Mohammed Amin Al-Zubair, an internal medicine specialist, delivered an informative lecture covering the causes, signs, symptoms, types, treatments, and preventive measures for diabetes.

The event also provided free medical consultations for attendees living with diabetes. Doctors assessed their health conditions and offered treatment recommendations. Blood sugar testing devices were distributed to participants to encourage regular monitoring. Free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and body mass index measurements, were also conducted with Mediclinic Hospital (Al Ain Branch).

In recognition of their contributions, Mediclinic Hospital and City Pharmacy were honored with certificates of appreciation for their role in making the event successful and supporting its awareness objectives.
