A workshop about “Knowledge Management” organized by AAU in collaboration with Fulbright Scholar

 

Al Ain University at both campuses Abu Dhabi and Al Ain organized a workshop entitled “Knowledge Management” for the academic, Heads of Administrative Departments and administrative staff, in collaboration with the Fulbright Scholar Program in the United States and  the Middle Georgia State University under the supervision of Dr. Faten Kharbat -Deputy Dean of College of Engineering and IT in Abu Dhabi Campus and Dr. Adel Ahmad from the College of Business Administration in Al Ain Campus, which was presented by Prof. John Girard from the Middle Georgia State University, and who is engaged in the Fulbright Scholar program.

During the workshop, Dr. Girard focused on the leadership and the knowledge management in order to enhance the organizational effectiveness and efficiency, defined concepts, types, building the knowledge and how to manage it. He also talked about the concept changes of the knowledge over time and discussed the knowledge management importance in creating and sharing information at Al Ain University.

This visit comes as part of a several visits by Dr. Gerard to Al Ain University in order to the cooperation agreement between the university and the Fulbright Scholar Program in the United States, where Al Ain University is seeking to enhance the prospects of joint cooperation and extended bridges of communication between various institutions and support the international cooperation between other universities, which would enhance the international communication and the community engagement, in addition to its belief in the importance of the knowledge management role in the United Arab Emirates to achieve the UAE vision 2021 which has been launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum -Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to make the United Arab Emirates one of the best countries in the world.
